1. To ensure that the following NCAA mandates are being followed:
a. An active member institution shall establish an administrative structure that provides independent medical care and affirms the unchallengeable autonomous authority of primary athletics health care providers (team physicians and athletic trainers) to determine medical management and return to play decisions related to student-athletes.
b. An active institution shall designate a director of medical services/athletics health care administrator to oversee the institution’s athletic health care administration and delivery.
2. Assess organizational structure of care for student athletes: Core Sports Medical Providers and Relationships
3. Determine if medical providers are appropriately credentialed and monitored
4. Evaluate the documented policies, procedures and Student Code of Conduct
5. Determine if the facilities of care are safe and per medical guidelines
6. Evaluate culture of medical care to determine if the documented policies and procedures are being implemented
7. Evaluate Billing and Insurance Policies
8. Review Selected Controversial Cases to Ensure The Care is Per Standard Sports Medicine Guidelines
